Lucent Cube is a sound-reactive LED matrix cube. Six 64×64 RGB LED panels (24,576 LEDs) form one continuous display that wraps light around every face. It plays hundreds of light animations, 200+ music-reactive visualisers, 70+ games and 50+ apps, all controlled from a companion app on iOS, Android, Windows and macOS. Designed and assembled in the UK.

Final pricing will be announced before the campaign launches. The biggest discount is the 24-hour early bird, for the first 24 hours of the campaign, with First Week and Kickstarter Special prices after that. Shipping is calculated after the campaign.
Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform: you back the project at a discount before it’s made, and your pledge funds the first production run. Your cube ships after the campaign. You’re only charged if the campaign reaches its goal.
Parts take around 6 weeks to arrive, so we’re aiming to ship about 8 weeks after the campaign ends. We’ll confirm the estimated delivery month when the campaign goes live, and post an update at every milestone.

Every cube comes with the Lucent Cube itself (with its built-in battery), a stability stand, and a power supply with the plug for your country plus a pogo extension cable. 2-Packs include two of everything. The companion app is a free download for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows.

No. Lucent Cube arrives fully assembled and ready to use, with its compute module already inside. Plug it in, download the app and connect it to your Wi-Fi.
About 2 to 6 hours of continuous use, depending on brightness. Plugged into its power supply, it runs as long as you like.
Not to use it. The companion app controls the cube over Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi adds software updates, casting, smart home and searching online animation libraries. Animations, visualisers and games run on the cube itself.
Yes. It works with all three over Matter, so you can control it by voice.
Yes. Lucent Cube is an open platform with a documented local HTTP API and a machine-readable hardware reference, written so AI coding assistants can build apps for it. Ask for a bouncing ball, a weather display or something stranger, then deploy it in minutes. It also takes Art-Net and sACN DMX from lighting consoles.
Two years, covering defects in materials and workmanship, in addition to your statutory rights. Panels, boards, the stand and the power supply are all individually replaceable.
Yes — Lucent Cube is modular. The battery is a standard pack with XT30 and JST connectors, so it can be swapped for a replacement, and the carrier board takes either a Raspberry Pi CM4 or CM5 compute module (with an optional heatsink), so the compute can be upgraded later.
Every cube ships with a small shipping cap fitted in its power socket. With the cap in, the battery is disconnected, so the cube stays completely off in transit. The cap doubles as a reset: insert it and the cube switches fully off; remove it and the cube starts up again.
Roughly 15%. The cell-cast acrylic diffusers smooth the individual LEDs into an even, continuous image, and that smoothing costs about 15% of the panels’ light output.
